Abstract

This article reviews the progress in building a system of indicators to evaluate un/sustainability processes of family dairy production systems in Uruguay. It briefly introduces the concept of sustainability from which we start, and then moves forward on the proposal that has been developed. We review three specific experiences of its application at various times and territories in the region of San José. Finally, we identify the potential and limitations that have emerged during the work process, and present some results obtained with the implementation of the proposed methodology.
