Abstract

A spatial and temporary representation of agroclimatic variables has been done with the purpose of caracterize the middle west region of the República Oriental del Uruguay. The study zone includes the provinces of Río Negro and Paysandú and some part of the provinces of Durazno, Flores, Soriano, Tacuarembó and Salto. Those provinces are between 56° and 59°west longitude and 31,5° and 33,5° south latitude. Variables like temperature, frost, degree day, precipitation and potential evapotranspiration were analyzed and hydrological budgets were made. Spatial representation was made at 1/1000000 scale. At this scale, oceanic, altitud and latitud influence was found for some variables, but important climatic differences weren't.
