Abstract

Ipheion tweedieanum (Baker) Traub is cited for Uruguay as a first documented collection after the type specimen. A key to differentiate the species of Ipheion and the difference with Nothoscordum vittatum (Griseb.) Ravenna are given. Ecological, geographical and phenological observations are included.
